Understanding the Different Types of Dental Bridges
When it comes to dental bridges, there are three main categories: traditional bridges, cantilever bridges and Maryland bonded bridges. Each can be used to address different dental issues.
- Traditional bridges: a traditional bridge can be used to replace a missing tooth by creating a crown for the tooth or placing an implant on either side of the missing tooth.
- Cantilever bridges: a cantilever bridge can be used when there is only one tooth next to the missing tooth. They are not recommended for use in the back of the mouth.
- Maryland bonded bridges: a Maryland bonded bridge can be used to replace a missing tooth by using metal or porcelain wings that bond to existing, adjacent teeth.

I recently went to Dr. Mark for a broken molar repair. Upon arrival I was impressed with the updated office and it's sterile feel. Dr. Mark took my impressions and decided what to do for the repair. Dr. Weitzman is by far the best dentist I've ever been to! He made my nine-year-old daughter feel safe and comfortable!
